StarCraft 2: Protoss Colossus Preview

The StarCraft II Official Site has been updated with a new article looking at the Protoss Colossus unit. Our StarCraft-II.net Gallery has been updated with the new screenshots and artwork.

"The towering colossus is a protoss robot design dating back to the bloody conflicts of the Kalath Intercession. It strides across the battlefield on four tall, slender legs which give it an extremely high level of mobility. The great height of the machine allows it to step up and down cliffs and other steep elevations with little difficulty, and gives it a dominating field of fire."

StarCraft II: Protoss Stargate

The StarCraft II Official Site has been updated with a new article previewing the Protoss Stargate.

"The warships of the protoss fleet require a much stronger warp link in order to materialize than a standard gateway can provide. The immense stargate is capable of calling ships from high orbit or across immense distances to appear on a planet surface. The construction of one or more stargates at a protoss base is a sure sign that it has become a major staging point for an offensive. This excerpt from the after-action report of Flight Sergeant Aaron Keebler helps underline the rapidity with which the protoss can switch their stance."

StarCraft 2 Playable at BlizzCon 2007!

The Official Blizzcon 2007 site has just posted some great news:

"Visitors to BlizzCon 2007 will be treated to the first-ever public hands-on with StarCraft II. Demo stations will be set up at the convention, and attendees can sample the new units and gameplay elements for themselves in multiplayer battles. We’re excited to offer this exclusive opportunity to our players, and look forward to seeing you at BlizzCon."

Unfortunately, Blizzcon tickets are now sold out, but keep your eyes open for Blizzard fan sites running Blizzcon 2007 Ticket Contests.
